Legion of Honor Award - 01/26/2018

On Monday, January 22, 2018 Lance Incitti was presented with his 30 Year Legion of Honor Award.  Lance is the current President of the Kiwanis Club of Denville.  He is also a Kiwanis International Trustee.  Lance has served on the Kiwanis International Boards for ten years where he also served as the Kiwanis International Foundation (now known as the Kiwanis Children's Fund) President 2013-14.

Makiing the presentation is Immediate Past President Alexis Schoerner.

Children's Fund Recognition - 01/02/2018

The Kiwanis Club of Denville has been recognized for their contribution to the Kiwanis Children's Fund!  These funds are used to help the children of the world in the event of a disaster or to provide grants to Kiwanis Clubs working to better the lives of children.

We are proud to support the good works of the Children's Fund!

Project Playground Donation - 06/12/2017

Mayor Tom Andes (left) looks on as Alexis Schoerner, Kiwanis Club President, presents a check for $512 to Don Cass from the Project Playground 2.0 Committee.  The funds were raised during a can shake on May 20, 2017.  100% of the funds raised were given to Project Playground 2.0 committe.

3rd Annual Bike Rodeo - 06/10/2017

A great big THANK YOU to the Denville Police Department and Brendon Poh of Cycle Craft in Parsippany for helping make our 3rd Annual Bike Rodeo so successful!

The weather was wonderful and we had our largest crowd ever!  Special thanks to Officers Underwood and Frawley for helping all our young riders successfully navigate the obstical course....the guidance and encouragement was great!  We also appreciate the escorted bike ride through the neighborhood.  The kids were so impressed.

Brendon Poh was busy during the event making sure all bikes were safe and properly fit everyone.  Cycle Craft was most generous again this year to donate a bike and this year our very happy winner...

Eagle Scout Project at Zeek Road - 04/24/2017

On Monday, April 24, 2017 President Alexis Schoerner presented a check to Brendon Flood for his Eagle Scout project.  Brendon is building picnic tables at Zeek Road.  The first phase of this project was the clear the area and plant shurbs.  This will make the Zeek Road facilities much more enjoyable!  Nice job!  

US Army and Kiwanis are Vision Partners - 03/03/2017

On February 27, 2017 The Denville Kiwanis Club hosted a Division 9 interclub. Lt, Colonel Edward Croot, Battalion Commander of the US Army Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Command was the featured speaker.  This event was held in conjunction with the US Army and Kiwanis International partnership.  Croot spoke to twenty-five Kiwanis members and fifteen Key Club members from local high schools.  Croot’s message of if you can dream it, you can do it and through the leadership programs of Kiwanis and the Army anything is possible.

The U.S. Army partnership is based on a foundation of shared values. Engaging in local opportunities, U.S. Army personnel connect with Kiwanis family members...

Kiwanis Member Does Polar Plunge for Kids - 02/25/2017

On Saturday, February 25, 2017 Kiwanis member Doug Gabel took the Polar Plunge at Cooks' Pond as part of a fundraising event for Project Playground 2.0.  Doug personally raised $3,302 to help fund the rebuilding of the Gardner Field playground.  The group effort that day totaled over $10,000.

While the air temperature that day was in the 60's the water was still a brisk 47 degrees.  Way to go all the brave plungers!

Any donations are gratefully accepted to support the rebuilding of the playground for the children of Denville and surrounding communities.

Congratulations on 70 Years of Service! - 09/22/2016

On Thursday, September 22, 2016, the Kiwanis Club of Denville celebrated 70 years of service.  The Golden Gup provided music for an evening of memories at Zeris Inn.  There were proclamations from the NJ Senate and House presented by State Senator Tony Bucco and State Assemblyman Tony Bucco.  Morris County Freeholders asked Hank Lyon to present greetings.  Tom Andes, Mayor of Denville, delivered a proclamation from the township.  Barron Seager, Sr. VP and Chief Development Officer of US Fund for UNICEF brought greetings and thanks for the Denville Kiwanis Club's efforts in the community and the world through the IDD and MNT programs.


Father's Day Pancake Breakfast! - 06/30/2016

With beautiful weather on Father's Day the crowds came out to enjoy our 59th Annual Pancake Breakfast!

Bike Rodeo helps the community - 06/09/2016

The Denville Police Department had safety information available and did an excellent job with the obstacle course.  Young and young at heart tried their skills with much success at riding the course.  

CycleCraft of Parsippany did an excellent job of making sure all bike were safe....wheels were tightened, tires filled with air, and seats adjusted. They also donated a kids bike to be raffled off.  The winner was very excited!!!  There were also happy winners of the CycleCraft gift certificates provided by the Kiwanis Club of Denville.
